Hello and welcome, my name is Charles Hacker and I have a wealth of experience in the field of property and property investing, having had a career in Estate and Letting Agency that lasted for more than seventeen years.

I am now the Managing Director of my own home improvement company, whilst Jan (bless her), my proverbial long suffering other half, oversees the daily running of our very respectable double figure property portfolio that stretches from the Southern Counties up into the Midlands. Busy boys!

Approaching my forties with the responsibilities of a family, living the daily and monthly grind that we can all relate to, along with the ever increasing worries for all our long term security made me take stock of my life and the impending future that I was likely to end up with put against the future that I wanted for my family.

Even knowing what I do I am cautious person by nature and will never set out to recklessly invest or buy anything without knowing or investigating it to some degree. With my history if I don’t I just end up buying the wrong thing at the wrong time ...just ask Jan!

With that mindset what I really wanted to know was what it was really like to get started as a property investor, what to buy, how to buy it and what issues, good or bad, should I really look out for and what detailed factors must be considered. I couldn’t!

After countless hours and much research of my own, to my own somewhat perplexed disbelief I could find very little comprehensive guidance out there, to really learn from.

I could find diluted info that to me gave little more than rough guidance notes but what I wanted was a "highway code" to show and guide me as to what does what and what leads to where!

Having failed to find anything that it my opinion really gave me the deep insight that I truly wanted, I decided that if I couldn’t then just who could and so I thought why not write a book of my own to help and advise those likeminded people, searching for what I wanted too.

That’s where I come in, this is a detailed recount of my own journey and I have nothing more to sell you than what I feel is a mixture of comprehensive information and guidance to follow in footsteps that I have already trodden many times myself.
